The Ministry of Heltal Fowziya Abika records new conditions for COVID-19

Mogadishu; Monday, May 4, 2020 —- The Federal Government of Somalia’s Ministry of Health confirms the daily report on Coronavirus that 34 new cases have been registered in COVID-19 over the past 24 hours. 17 people were cured and 3 patients died.

Minister for Health and Social Welfare, Fowziya Abikar Nur, confirmed that 26 of the confirmed patients were men while the other 8 were women.

Twenty-seven of the new patients are registered in the Banadir region and seven are in the state of Puntland.

The number of COVID-19 cases in registered in the country reached 756, a total of 61 people were recovered. Another 35 died.

Miss Fowziya Abikar Nur urged Somali citizens in general to take health advice and awareness of the risk of the disease and participate in its prevention and control measures.
