UN peacekeepers killed in Mali after patrol hits IED

Three United Nations peacekeepers were killed and four seriously injured after a routine patrol struck improvised explosive devices in the northern region of Mali at Aguelhok, the United Nations announced on Sunday.

“We will combine all our efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for these terrorist acts so that they can answer for their crimes,” said Mahamat Saleh Annadif, head of the United Nations mission in Mali, in a statement.
