Lesotho Prime Minister Thomas Thabane has just ended months of political uncertainty. The head of government confirmed his departure on Tuesday, May 19 during a televised speech. The latter is involved in the murder of his ex-wife in 2017.

“I show up to you today to tell you that the work you have entrusted to me may not be finished but that it is time for me to withdraw from the theater of surgery, to leave public life and my duties,” said Thomas Thabane .
The head of government announced his withdrawal from the press on Monday. In power since 2017, 80-year-old ThomasThabane will be replaced in the head of government by the current Finance Minister Moeketsi Majoro.
