Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen will probably not be at Tottenham next season.
Vertonghen demanded a new two-year contract from his London officials, as well as a salary equivalent to the one he currently receives (£ 70,000 per week). The leaders could not respond to his request.
Despite his age (33), Vertonghen should not be short of offers. Naples would have learned about it, as did its former Ajax club.
Together with Hugo Lloris, Vertonghen is one of the oldest members of Spursen’s workforce. He has a total of 390 matches and 21 goals with this formation. On the other hand, his record remained empty during his eight years spent in England.
