The number of serious cases of Covid-19 continues to decline in France, with 54 patients being treated less for 24-hour intensive care, according to the Directorate-General for Health.
Pressure continues to ease in French hospitals. According to the Directorate-General for Health, 16,264 people who are ill with Covid-19 are still treated in hospital wards, 534 less than the day before.
The decline also continues in intensive care, with 1,555 patients now being treated, 54 less than on Monday.
Nevertheless, France recorded 73 additional deaths due to the 24-hour Covid-19 epidemic, for a total death toll reaching 28,530 since 1yourMarch, said the Directorate-General for Health.
These deaths were distributed in 18,195 deaths in hospitals and 10,335 in medico-social facilities, mainly Ehpad.
Pollution cases also continue to increase, with a further 276 cases in 24 hours, for a total of 145,555 cases registered in France.
