Kanté returns to training before the Premier League resumes

The Blues midfielder will return to be ready for the restart of the English season.

N’Golo Kanté returned to train with Chelsea to be ready for the resumption of the Premier League season, but the Frenchman chose to train alone at Cobham.

Series A returns on June 20!

Frank Lampard and the Chelsea boss had blessed the midfielder, who was wary of the Premier League’s recovery plans.

After a negative Covid-19 test before the first training day on Tuesday, the 29-year-old completed a session before announcing his concerns to staff and missing training on Wednesday.

The Premier League has since shown that Chelsea’s first match will take place this weekend on June 19. And the Blues players participated in a limited contact session Thursday, but the 29-year-old trained far from the group that saw Christian Pulisic, Mateo Kovacic and Tammy Abraham return from injury.

Widely used this season despite injuries, Kanté will therefore play a role in the season’s last nine games for his team plus three possible English Cup games with the Blues.
