Aulas and OL ask LFP to backtrack

Olympique Lyonnais has sent a request to LFP to reverse its decision to stop the championship.

Olympique Lyonnais and its president Jean-Michel Aulas continue to fight for the Ligue 1 championship to resume. After seizing the government and the sports minister, the head of Gones has just arrested the LFP to annul the decision to stop the championship. He requests that an Extraordinary General Meeting be held.

OL “Ask LFP to reconsider its position to finally end the 2019/2020 season as it took April 30 in a swift and swift manner, as the club has constantly emphasized since.”.

The union’s decision to hold friendly matches in July when this period was banned for sporting events only accentuated Rhodanian’s anger. “Since the team will be able to resume training on June 2 and the friendly matches will be held in July, the conditions will be met for the clubs to play not only friendly matches but also official matches.”

OL demands that the resumption of next season be postponed until September to allow it to be 2019/2020. Aulas also reiterates its proposal to end the practice with play-offs.
