The players selected for the Marc-Vivien Foé title for the 2019/2020 season have just been announced.
This year’s list is generally dominated by Senegalese. They are exactly four to appear, in this case Mbaye Niang and Edouard Mendy (Rennes), Habib Diallo (Metz) and Idrissa Gueye (Senegal).

There are also two Algerian African champions, namely Andy Delort (Montpellier) and Islam Slimani (Monaco). Please note that Rennes is the most represented club since Malian Hamari Traoré was also elected. Finally, the list is supplemented by Moses Simon (Nantes), Victor Osimhen (Lille), Yunis Abdelhamid (Rennes) and Denis Bouanga (ASSE).
As a reminder, it was Nicolas Pépé last season who won this award after his fantastic year with LOSC. Ivorian Gervinho remains the only player to have won the award twice. An award that has existed since 2009 and created in memory of the former Cameroonian environment, which died tragically in 2003.
