Bayern, Lucas Hernandez touched on adductors

Bayern’s French defender Lucas Hernandez had the misfortune of injuring himself on Saturday during the match against Düsseldorf.

While back in the starting lineup Lucas Hernandez was unable to play the entire match between Bayern and Düsseldorf this Saturday. The world champion had to resign during the break because of a contracted injury.

“I had to take him out because of an injury, he had adductor problems and the risk was too great”, told his coach, Hansi Flick, to the Sky TV channel, “And at 3-0 for us (…) Joshua Kimmich was able to go into central defense and everything went well”.

This season, Hernandez has long been absent due to physical concerns. Since returning, he has struggled to regain his starting position and only has to settle for match-ups. On Saturday, he had the opportunity to change the game, but fate fell on him again.

In the club’s health care, the former Atlético Madrid player joined his compatriot Corentin Tolisso, but also Niklas Sule and Thiago Alcantara. Its downtime should be determined in the coming days.
