Lewandowski in Muller’s footsteps
29 goals in 29 meetings in the German league, Lewandowski is the very first player to have achieved this achievement since a certain Gerd Muller (34). That was 48 years ago. In the other competitions, during the current financial year, he signed 8 achievements. He has already reached his best total in a season.
Also note that by scoring against Fortuna, Lewandowski now has at least one goal against all teams that currently make up the German elite. An exceptional achievement, but one that is only half surprising from the one who has been the best foreign director in the history of this championship for a year.
For the record, the former Dortmund player could have even had a hat-trick if the last opposite bulbark had not postponed his attempt to the 69’s. It would have been his first hat-trick of the year.
