No more positive tests in the Premier League

There are no longer any positive cases for Covid-19 after the fourth Test round in the Premier League.

The Premier League revealed that there were no positive results for coronavirus in the latest series of tests conducted by the league.

During the tests of the club’s 1130 players and staff, the English high authorities announced that there was no longer a positive case for Covid-19. “The Premier League can confirm today that on Thursday 28 May and Friday 29 May 1130 players and club staff were tested for Covid-19. None of them tested positive.”, the league said in a statement. This is very good news and comes a few days after the announcement of the upcoming resumption of the championship.

“The Premier League provides this aggregate information for the integrity and transparency of the competition. No specific information about clubs or individuals will be provided by the league and the results will be published after each test round”, continued the note.

As a reminder, the first tests conducted abroad in succession produced six, then two and then four positive results. Among the 12 positive cases, Burnley assistant manager Ian Woan, Watford defender Adrian Mariappa and Bournemouth goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale were confirmed. All these people have been quarantined and are still there.
