The players had also promised to make more financial contributions, in order to help pay the salaries of club staff during the attention in Spain.

According to a report from Catalunya RadioBartomeu is now said to have asked for a new set of cups during a visit to Barça’s training site last month.

President Blaugrana and sports managers Oscar Grau and Albert Soler spoke to the players after their resumption of group training on May 25.

The club did not confirm their request, while the group would have considered Bartomeu’s offer. This new series of pay cuts could save the club about € 10 million.
