Primarily L1, FC Lorient engaged the services of Jérémy Morel (36) at the end of the contract in Rennes. A reinforcement of the experience for Hake.
FC Lorient just made a nice move. Encouraged by Ligue 1, the Breton club will pick up Jérémy Morel (36), announced by L’Equipe. The left-back defender, capable of playing in the middle or side, was at the end of his contract with Stade Rennais.
2 year contract for maintenance
According to information from Goal, Jérémy Morel signed with FC Lorient on the basis of one year contract followed by another year in case of detention.
Stade Brestois and RC Lens had also expressed an interest in the former Lyonnais, but the latter eventually chose to return to Morbihan. The speech of coach Christophe Pélissier and the environment in a club he knows well appealed especially to him.

Appearing 28 times last season in the Rennes jersey, Jérémy Morel therefore leaves the Julien Stéphan team after a season that is absolutely compelling. He will try to bring all his experience to the Lorient neighbor in his quest for maintenance.
Jérémy Morel already has 234 professional matches with Lorient. Trained at the club, he left for Olympique de Marseille in 2011, before joining Olympique Lyonnais in 2015 and signing at Stade Rennais last year. A reinforcement of the experience for Hake.
