Barcelona striker Martin Braithwaite said he was happy to finally have the chance to work with teammate Luis Suarez.
Fabregas reveals why he chose Monaco
The injury was supposed to keep the Uruguayan international on the sidelines until next season, but the coronavirus pandemic suspension from the 2019-2020 season allowed him to return.
Suarez’s injury facilitated the controversial transfer of Braithwaite to Camp Nou from Leganes, after LFP approved the Catalan club a medical joker.
But the Danish international refuses to focus on the negativity surrounding his arrival in Catalonia when he resumes the Liga campaign against Real Majprque this weekend.
“I am very happy that Luis can return. He was injured when I arrived and we couldn’t play together, he said in an interview with Goal.
“I want to play with him and learn from him. He’s one of the best strikers in the world.”
The former Toulouse scored 10 La Liga goals in 12 months with Leganes, but has not yet found an opponent’s net since arriving in Barcelona, despite encouraging performances.
