OFFICIAL – Paris FC joins Marvin Gakpa

As announced by us Thursday night, midfielder Messin Marvin Gakpa is committed to Paris FC (Ligue 2).

After moving to Ligue 2, Paris FC continues to strengthen for the 2020/2021 practice. This Friday, and as announced by Goal, The Ile-de-France club signed their seventh out-of-season rookie, in person of Marvin Gakpa. The latter arrives from FC Metz. The duration of the contract is three years (until 2023).

The 26-year-old attacking midfielder arrives at Paris FC with the hope of reviving himself, having played just 462 minutes during the previous Ligue 1 campaign (13 appearances). He hopes to be able to return to the level he had previously posted with Garnets or even Quevilly. He knows Ligue 2 pretty well because he has already spent three whole seasons there.

Before saying yes to Paris FC, Gakpa had turned his back on the opportunity to join AJ Auxerre, according to information recently released by L’Yonne Républicaine.

Paris FC has not yet completed its recruitment. It is also planned to offer an attacker. The discussions are well advanced according to our information with Gaëtan Laura, a member of the Quevilly Rouen Métropole. The conclusion of the agreement could be announced quickly given the speed at which Parisian leaders are conducting their negotiations.
