French actor Tahar Rahim took his first steps on the red carpet at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival for Jacques Audiard’s “A Prophet”, a film that would earn him critical acclaim.
Since then he has built up a string of impressive roles both in France and abroad. Rahim will return to the Riviera this year as a judge. He sat down with Jowharto tell us about playing a Guantanamo detainee in his latest movie “The Mauritanian” alongside Jodie Foster.
The actress is the recipient of an honorary Palme this year, 45 years after her first performance at the festival for “Taxi Driver”, when she was just 13 years old.
