Germany is approaching reparations for colonial-era murders in Namibia

More than 100,000 people of the Herero and Nama ethnic groups were slaughtered by German forces between 1904 and 1908. But first, Malawi burned nearly 20,000 expired AstraZeneca vaccines amid conflicting advice on what to do with the doses. Health Minister Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda put some of the vials containing the expired doses in an incinerator to start the destruction.
