The political series began when French President Emmanuel Macron vowed to defend the right to caricature the Prophet Mohammed in the name of freedom of speech. Videos taken in Qatar, Jordan and Kuwait show empty shelves in supermarkets after companies withdrew French products in the wake of his comments.
