Covid-19 crisis: The new faces of poverty in France

This week we look at the financial damage that Coronavirus has done in France. As many as one million people could be thrown into poverty by the pandemic. Charities have also been affected. One reason is that the elderly are often volunteers, but many now avoid social situations because they are most vulnerable. The French government has announced measures to help those most in need, but some charities say aid does not reach all the right people. We’ve talking to Christophe Devys, President of the Alert Collective, a group of 35 anti-poverty charities.
