Is the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in France up to scratch?

This week, we focus on the French government’s vaccination strategy against Covid-19, as it is being criticized for a slow rollout. We are in an arts center that has been converted into the largest of the 24 vaccination centers in Paris. Up to 1,000 people can be vaccinated at the center for free every day – as long as enough doses are available.

We start with a look at the Covid-19 immunization schedule as it stands and discuss the challenges with infectious disease specialist Anne-Claude Crémieux.

We also see how the initial reluctance of the French population towards vaccination has been replaced by a steady increase in demand. For those who are ready but not yet able to get the shot, the hunt is now for those elusive leftover doses.
