Russian forces have thwarted new nighttime drone attacks by Ukraine in the regions of Tula and Belgorod (west), Moscow claimed on Tuesday morning.

Two “unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed by the air defense system in the territory of the Tula region,” located south of the Moscow region, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense on Telegram.

Another drone was also shot down in the Russian region of Belgorod, bordering Ukraine, on Monday at 11 PM local time (8 PM GMT), the same source said earlier on Tuesday.

A second Liberian-flagged cargo ship arrived in Istanbul despite the Russian blockade against Ukraine, according to maritime traffic websites. Russia has threatened to attack ships departing from Ukraine in the Black Sea since it terminated the agreement allowing Kiev to export its cereals in July.

Warsaw and the Baltic countries have demanded on Monday that Belarus expel the Russian mercenary group Wagner, Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminski said.
