Sharif Sheikh: “Farmajo must stop the bloodshed and violence in the capital”

Former Somali president Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has condemned today’s attack on the candidates’ residences in Mogadishu.

In a post on his Facebook page, he spoke about former Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and wrote:

I strongly condemn the attack on the residences of former President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and the leader of the Wadajir party, Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame.

The responsibility for the attack lies with incumbent President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

I call on the national army not to take erroneous orders against the military law and other laws of the land while warning the military not to get involved in politics.

We call on the outgoing president to stop the bloodshed and violence in the capital, not to lead the country to ruin and defeat, and the solution is for the country to go to the polls.

Somalia is not a solution through dialogue and consensus at the moment we can not not open, if the military and fight ooganimo to find those who are stronger than the weapons they held barqad clear liberated.

The Somali people to stand together to save the country to return to where it was difficult for was, and jointly meet the threat of the regime term ended.
