Katie Taylor Reflects on Childhood Dreams: “These Are the Nights I Imagined”

Katie Taylor expressed that “these are the nights I dreamed of as a kid” after successfully defending her undisputed world super lightweight title in a close contest against Amanda Serrano in New York.

In her remarks following the match at Madison Square Garden, Taylor acknowledged the tremendous turnout of her fans who came out to support her.

She revealed she is “so happy” and “so grateful” to be sitting here again “as a winner”.

Taylor went on to praise Serrano’s performance, calling her “an incredible champion and a true warrior in the ring.” She noted the intensity of the bout, saying, “Every round was tough—we both left everything out there tonight. It’s what this sport is all about.”

Looking ahead, Taylor hinted at future challenges, stating, “I want to keep pushing the boundaries, keep making history. I’ll fight anyone, anywhere. That’s what being undisputed is all about.”
