UK Police Looking Into Fire Incident at Keir Starmer’s Residence
British law enforcement is looking into a fire that broke out overnight at a residence owned by Prime Minister Keir Starmer in north London, with no injuries reported.
“The prime minister expresses gratitude to the emergency services for their efforts. This incident is currently under active investigation, and we will not be providing further comments,” stated a representative from Mr. Starmer’s Downing Street office.
In a statement that did not reference the British leader directly, police reported they received notifications about a fire around 1:35 PM.
“Officers arrived at the scene. The entrance of the property sustained damage, but no individuals were injured,” announced London’s Metropolitan Police.
The London Fire Brigade confirmed they responded to a “small fire”.
Mr. Starmer, who resides in north London, has been living at his Downing Street office and residence since taking office as prime minister last July.
